Grieved-Lightness is an noncommercial website on which I share web design, focused on Asian pop culture especially Korean and Japanese music, manga, anime and video games. Also this website is meant to be concentrated on web design I offer other web and non-web graphics and try to enlarge your understanding in design and coding by giving various tutorials and articles as well.The contents on Grieved-Lightness are created with Adobe Design Premium CS3 especially using programs such as Dreamweaver, Illustrator and Photoshop.
All contents on Grieved-Lightness are free of charge and prohibited for any commercial use. If you're going to make use of any contents read the terms of use and Creative Commons beforehand.
Grieved-Lightness over the years
Grieved-Lightness (グリフド・ライトネス) was founded in early 2002 as a website collective. But a few month later the website was closed for some time and reopened on February 27th, 2003 as the web design related website you know. Therefore the birthday of Grieved-Lightness is officially in 2003. Even if there is no specific theme on Grieved-Lightness most designs and graphics deal with Asian topics (such as anime/ manga, games and music). Grieved-Lightness has always been a one-(wo)man project maintenance by chou.
VERSION 22 / PAST＜FUTURE / feat. 安室奈美恵
Actually it's a pity to create a new layout since the previous one (U-GO-GIRL feat. Lee Hyolee) wasn't done at all. But I guess after a long time of absence it's best to let people know you're back by giving some visual hints to, right?
A lot of things have changed recently and I guess you can tell that from looking on my current creations. Since I got a minimalist and clear style I also got a lack of colors. To change that I decided on giving some extreme colors to next Grieved-Lightness layout - and that's it. I also decided to work on the website's concept to expand my topics and to start something new. For this reason Namie Amuro's concept and title of her upcoming album PAST＜FUTURE were just perfect to support my idea. That's all ;)
