Photoshop tutorials: Darken
If you've got an image, wich is comparatively dark or bright, you can still do some additive darken or lighting to it. In addition to this effect, the quality of the image is improved.
1. Open a new image and the option for layers, do a right-click on the background and choose dublicate layer.
2. Go on with Filter Menu > Blur > Gaussian Blur and set the radius to 3,0°.
3. Turn to the window for layers again and set the Blending Options to Softlight.
4. The continous process depends on the quality of your basic image. If the quality wasn't the best, you may dublicate the second layer, which was processed previously. Thus your result will be different from mine.
Information: Despite the fact that this effect has a good consequence on the image you should try to take an image which basically has a good quality.
