Photoshop tutorials: Serrated polygon
Because it's boring always to use perfect round bullets (or icons) this tutorial will now teach you how to createa serrated one. What we want to get is an ellipse with a jagged border.
01. Create a new document (Ctrg+N) and add a new layer (Shift+Ctrg+N).
02. Choose the Polygon tool (it's located below the type tool). If you didn't use this tool before you need to use the arrow on the Rectangle tool to find the Polygon tool behind.
03. Now, You need to use the same settings as I did (in the preview they're colored red):
General options: Fill pixels
Polygon options: Star — Indent Sides by: 10%
04. Finally use the tool and create a serrated polygon. Feel free to play around with the settings or add a layer style. With some additioanl effects it could look like this:
